Invitation Shopping

We took a little road trip to get paper, envelopes and tape for Carissa's wedding invitations.  We stopped at Hollo's, Max and Irma's, Archiver's and the Flower Factory.  Loads of fun and many, many laughs.  Missy is the only person in her entire extended family who does this kind of thing so she has roped me in.  I am HAPPY to help!

Yo Mama Gonna Knock You OUT

We have many MANY pictures from this show.  The boys got punching balloons for Christmas #2 and at one point he had two of them.  This was the funniest face of the whole lot.
Okay, maybe two.
Haystacks.

I got melting chocolate and coconut from Amish country and HAD to put them together.  MMmmmm!

So Much Fun it Hurts

So while I was at the antique mall I picked up a jar of marbles for the boys.  Michael fell in love.  The glass jar broke and it did not slow him down.  I was trying to get a picture of the marbles and he was so protective that I ended up with multiple pictures of his hand and a little marble.  $3.00 well spent.

Varooooooommmm

We(Ruth, Becky and I) went to Amish country today.  There were SO many great shots from today, it was so hard to choose.  I chose this one because I'm sure these toys would be banned today.  We found some gems at the Antique Mall.  It's amazing to see the different clutter people still own.  I miss these awesome toys and the toys my parents played with as children are even worse.  Lead paint, small pieces and real metal....priceless.  Thank you ladies for a priceless day!  Love you!

RRRAAAAARRRR!

This is as tough as my dude gets.  Stu and Beth got Michael these Hulk hands for Christmas.  Michael doesn't punch things with it.  He puts them on, puts his fists on the floor and walks.  He looks like a gorilla when he does it.  I asked him to flex his muscles and give me a mean face.  My sweet baby can't even make a mean face.

This Old Piano

I was playing with my new filters and LOVE this picture with the "Close Up +4" filter.  This piano is the one we played as children.  It belonged to my Grandmother.  Then it was my Mom and Dad's and now, it's ours.  It also spent some time in Ken and Nancy Marquette's house.  It has real ivory keys and every one of them is chipped.  It has so much character and I'm sure it will continue to gain more character in the years to come.  Michael and Carter LOVE that we leave it open.  I can't wait to hear what they will make of this marvel.

Carter's Tooth

Carter had his first dentist appointment after slipping and hitting his tooth on our TV stand.  He climbs absolutely everything and fell while getting a hug from his brother.  His tooth got jammed up in his gums and will remain there until he grows adult teeth and the top right one descends.  The dentist said it should be fine there until then.  It may effect his adult tooth and make it look chipped or have a yellow spot but both are an easy fix with some bonding.  THANK THE LORD!

Carter, wishing he was going.

To school, that is.  I had Michael sit next to his backpack and Trader Joe's show and tell bag and Carter wanted his turn.  He had a tee shirt, diaper and this cutie patootie hat on.  He tries to do everything his brother does.

Taaaah Daaaaaaaaaah!

To put in the Christmas tree this year we rearranged the living room.  We really enjoy the way it looks and feels so when it came time to clean up Christmas we simply put a chair where the tree was.  My kids love that there is space behind it.  They were SO EXCITED to have a hiding place.  They are actually saying "TAH DAH!" by the way.

Not planned

This is not the photo I planned on using today.  I was going to use a picture proving that we took down our Christmas decorations but then Brian got up and got himself some dessert.  By some I mean a little overload.  I actually laughed out loud when I saw this plate.  His mother's cheesecake and clothes pins(his favorite cookie ever).  For a man who says he doesn't care for sweets this plate sure does suggest the opposite.  A reward for putting the tree and decorations away.

MMMMMMMM!

It is hard work playing in the snow but a payoff like this makes it all worth it.  He decided that every time he comes in from snow play he gets a hot chocolate.  DEAL!  I love going outside with him and watching his imagination flourish.  It's an awesome job I have.

Sloppy Joes

My kids LOVE black olives.  We really love turkey sloppy Joes.  They are just plain good.  Michael really loves when his has olive eyes.  I am happy to oblige.

Dear God, HELP ME!

I'm pretty sure he was praying by this point.  Brian and Keith took the "Dagwood Challenge" at the Ohio Deli.  It's 2 1/2 pounds of deli meat on a sourdough bun with a pound of fries in 30 minutes.  NO THANK YOU!  Brian finished but Keith stopped after eating a little more than half.  God bless 'em.

Baby, It's cold outside!

Yup!  Those rosy cheeks came right from his mother.  He was outside with his Uncle Stu and Daddy putting speakers in the car.  Okay, okay he didn't help a stitch but he sure did have fun throwing snow!  Carter watched from his step-stool behind a window while we were making dinner.

Maybe the BEST GIFT EVER!

Michael and I got carpet skates for Christmas from Aunt Cheese and Uncle Keith.  If you ever need a laugh....go buy carpet skates!  What a good time!  We laughed and laughed and laughed some more.  So easy a 21 month old can do it but fun enough for the whole family.  Keith and Stuart took them out in the snow while the boys were sleeping.  It was pee your pants funny.

Checking things out

This boy is constantly learning.  He's like a sponge.  Just watching, waiting and soaking it ALL in.  I can't wait till I know what he's saying.  He has words but when his sentences really start flowing we are all going to be in trouble.

RSD brings us together.

Kerri and Cille met through an awful disease they share.  RSD is a sympathetic nerve disorder that REALLY messes with your sensitivity and causes constant pain.  I am proud to know these two women and can't believe how strong they are.  I love you ladies and think you are simply amazing.

Photo A Day Challenge

So far, so good.  I am going to try to take a picture every day this year.  It is quite a challenge.  I'm really excited to learn a little more about my camera and utilize every bit of it!  I will start posting the pictures as soon as I get them all loaded.  Happy New Year!!!!!
